Christianity & Racial Division

You'd think of all places, church would be the one place where you don't have racial division, but with so many black and white churches, that's not the case. Whites won't go to a black churches, black Christians won't go to a white church. Then you have other ethnicities who have their own churches, and it's all madness to me. I thought we were all believers. I get it, there's denominational differences between black and white churches, so that could explain why whites and blacks prefer to worship among their own. I hate to break it to folks, but there will be NO racial division in Heaven. If believers of different races can't get along down here, they can forget about making Heaven.

Spiritual Battle

I got this off a FB friend's page, and it makes a lot of sense when it comes to spiritual warfare. Clean victory comes from fighting Satan on God's turf, not his. Believers who try to fight the enemy on his turf are assured of loss, but when we as believers fight the enemy on God's turf, clean victory is a must because Satan is out of his element.

Church Complaints

It seems like church has become a scapegoat for everything that's wrong in life. Phony people? Blame the church. Lost Your Job? Blame The Church. There are phony people at work, do people stop going? No. There are phony folks in the club, but do people stop shaking their behinds in the club? No, so why are people fixed on finding something wrong with the church? Look, church will go on whether anyone likes it or not. Churches won't stop existing because a few complainers don't like the pastor, praise & worship or the ministries. Some people will find everything wrong with and everyone in the church, except themselves. Let them get in a bind, and what's the first place they run to for help? THE CHURCH. It never fails.

Buying Forgiveness

Pastor John Gray isn't the first pastor to cheat on his wife, and he won't be the last. I will say this: People need to stop putting pastors on pedestals, like they're so perfect. Pastors are human, they're subject to making serious mistakes just like the rest of us. The secular world already thinks poorly of Christianity and this is more ammo for them to use against the church. It's like this: Pastors, as leaders are held to a higher standard so it's on them to tread carefully; to not give off the appearance of impropriety. I like John Gray, he's a gifted speaker and motivator and just because he's sinned, doesn't mean I'm going to stop following his ministry. It's in his brokenness that God can use him greatest. He can use this as a teaching tool for couples who are going through similar situations. Much respect goes to Aventer (his wife) for standing by her husband, even though he did wrong. She told the other woman that she doesn't want it with her and prayed the devil away. I hope they can work through this and Pastor Gray has asked God to forgive him, which I'm sure he has. If it's true Pastor Gray bought his wife a Lambo as his way of asking her forgiveness, then I guess all it takes to escape accountability is buying your spouse a nice gift and all is well.
