What if I told you there is NO Black Community? That's right, there is no black community because there's too much discord among blacks. Some blacks can't stand seeing another black person blessed so they start throwing shade & trying to undermine him/her. Depending on the strength of the blessed black person, (s)he may let it slide because in their minds, those haters are jealous because they aren't prospering like (s)he is. In order for a community to be valid, a group of people must be able to co-exist. It doesn't mean everyone has to keke with some tea, but at least be cordial for goodness sakes. People can feel some kind of way, but deep down I'm telling the truth. I'm pro-black just like the next black person, but I call it how it is. The black community as a whole has no unity; it's everybody for themselves.
If a black person is serious about education, (s)he's clowned for it. "You're being white, such & such." The sad part is that the black community used to be strong. Go back to when blacks were fighting for equality & civil rights. If a black person was treated unjustly, other blacks rallied around him and went to war on that black person's behalf because of the mindset that if one suffers, we all suffer. Black neighborhoods were stable before drugs & violence, and poverty ran amok, and the list goes on. Having said that, no one can tell me there's a black community because I sure can't see one. You have black neighborhoods were people live together, but the unity is gone. Someone gets shot in the hood, no one bats an eye because it's just another day.
