7 Things Your Pastor Won't Tell You

It takes a special person to go into ministry. You have to have a servant's heart and a passion for souls. Being a pastor is oftentimes a thankless job because (s)he is expected to be there for their congregation, comfort & counsel them at a moment's notice, meet with community members, etc. There's a lot that goes into being a pastor & I think most people forget that pastors are human too. They need encouragement, times of refreshing, enjoyment with their family and friends, etc. Another example of how being a pastor is a thankless job is that when a member needs prayer and God answers that prayer, sometimes that member forgets to thank the pastor for standing in agreement with them. If anyone decides to go into ministry, they need to know what they're getting into. Being a pastor requires a selfless spirit, a servant's heart, passion for preaching the gospel, and understanding that at times, a pastor is a thankless job.
