LinkedIn is a great site for professionals to network, to get articles about what's going on in the business world, etc. I read articles about employees (or former employees) being shafted by management, and it makes me angry. It seems like toxic people are rewarded in corporate America instead of talented, honest employees. I can't tell you how many articles I've read about good employees being forced out because of toxic management: Employees bring up valid concerns to management, and they're ignored. What good is chain of command and valid concerns aren't heard? After a while, good employees get sick of not being heard/appreciated, so they go to the competitor. Often times, competitors outperform their rivals because a former employee of a firm has inside information they can feed to their new employer to give them a heads up. Corporate America needs a laxative & colonic to rid itself of toxic employees, management included. That's why it's important to lay low & do a good job, and document all interaction(s), so you have proof just in case you have to go the legal route.
