It's about that time of year again, Valentine's Day. People go all out for their special someone to show how much they cherish them. My thing is, why wait to show love for your man/woman on V-Day when you should be showing them love year round? Valentine's Day is an excuse for many singles to rent a man or woman for one day and they never see him/her again. That's like spending hundreds of dollars on your senior prom and taking a random girl/guy out for one night knowing you two won't cross paths ever again. It's crazy to me. If I'm going to celebrate Valentine's Day, I have to have a special lady who makes my life better through her existence. This way, I have reason to go all out for her. You're proud of being single all year except for Valentine's Day; that's the one day out of the year you don't want to be alone. You solicit a man or woman to treat to dinner and a movie. If you really want to make an impression, you'll buy Russell Stovers chocolate candy. Buy a woman chocolates and you score major points. I just feel that you should show your mate love year round, not just on their birthday or Valentine's Day. The love shown to your mate on special occasions should be icing on the cake; the culmination of love shown year round.

That's right. Don't be fake about it. I would rather have small gestures of love every day instead of grand gestures on special occasions. I like my chocolate when I have PMS and something other than a rose shows originality. On the business end, Rent-A-Date might be a good idea. No one wants to be alone during any holiday especially one where romance and love is the focus.
ReplyDeleteEvery woman has gotten roses on several occasions, and in the back of their minds they're saying "Really...Really...a rose" They accept because they don't want to be rude but deep down they wish he could've came harder than that. Small gestures of love usually are more genuine because they come from the heart. Anything done over the top is considered a bonus. Bonus treatment should be saved for when a person has TRULY shown themselves worthy.
ReplyDeleteWow.....this is right on point.....i think a lot of times men go all out for a lady on valentines day to make her feel like a queen but the next day she has forgotten him and is back to being her stuck up self.....smh
ReplyDeleteChill-that's craziness. If you're going to go all out for a lady on V-Day, make sure she's your MAIN woman, someone you can see spending the rest of your life with. Then any treatment she receives on V-Day, her b-day or any special occasion is an added bonus. Some of these men are too thirsty, shakes head.
