If you’re crazy enough to let gangster music influence you to shoot up a neighborhood, you’ve got bigger issues to contend with. My only gripe with gangster music is that it’s saying the same thing: I tote big guns & sling drugs, sex women, cruising down the street in my 6-4, etc. At the same time, gangster rap reflects the environment: Violence, drugs, police harassment, poverty. If you want to change rap music, change the impoverished conditions. If it seems like rappers glorify violence, maybe they’re reporting the reality of ghetto life: Unfortunately, a lot of people die in the ghetto, and a lot of them lost loved ones to violence.

When we take part in baptism, we are choosing to live like Jesus by following His example.

First, I've started listening to these fellas and they've been on point. Based on their commentary, I'm 2nd-guessing following a lot of celebs because some of their stances I don't vibe with. To me, Candace Owens plays both sides: One minute, she's for this & the next, she's for that. How can she be so involved in politics & conservative and not know this is Biblical warfare between good & evil? A major part of this fight is about the evil that's done to children and not knowing what they do to put out in public their symbolism of who they worship & try to make it ok!

Priorities

 

I remember when families got together for Sunday dinners & family reunions, now...the only time families seem to come together is funerals. What happened to the importance of family? I know life happens, but people make time for what's important, and some people don't consider family important. It seems like when the Big Mamas, Grandaddies & Grandmas left, the family fell apart. I know my dad's side of the family has had family reunions since '73, and they're still going on. How many folks can say they still have family reunions?

Gas Prices Are Disrespectful

I think I speak for everyone when I say: These gas prices are disrespectful. Gas prices have doubled since Biden took office. Many of us are having to curb our traveling because of these high gas prices. I know gas prices are over $4-$5 in major cities, and approaching $4 a gallon elsewhere. Unless some people have money to burn at the pump, I, and many others are limiting our driving to essential trips. For me, I used to go to the gym 4-5 times a week, but I'm dropping down to 3x a week until gas gets back under $3 a gallon again. I'll do doubles (work 2 body parts), 3 days a week until gas gets back where it should be. I pray for relief at the pump for everyone...because we're all suffering at the pump, not just me.

 

God Hates Divorce & Judgment

 

Churches are good for keeping women in bad marriages. Yes, God hates divorce but he doesn't want his daughters mistreated. What kind of God would he be if he gave one of his precious daughters to an abusive man who puts hands on her (and not lovingly) & dogs her? Not a very good one. 

I've said this for a while; politicians are out of touch with regular people, and it shows in their policies. The Republicans are good for this because EVERY TIME a bill is presented that could improve the lives of working class & struggling people, Republicans take issue because it's about money with them. Democrats are the same to a degree, but not like Republicans. Want an example? Student debt crisis. The student debt currently stands at $1.7 trillion. Democratic leaders are pushing for Biden to cancel $50,000 in student debt, but he has yet to do so. Who are the main ones in their feelings? REPUBLICANS. The same tired arguments are presented: Why should student debt borrowers get relief when others have sacrificed to pay off their debt? First off, why are those who already paid off their student loan in their feelings over potential relief for tens of millions? They're mad because they struggled to pay off their debt and others may not have to, that's all this is. People have so much to say about someone's situation, when they're not offering assistance. Until you're willing to help someone who's struggling, put a bridle on your tongue. 

There's No Timetable On Getting It Together

 

This is a word. People have so much to say about someone's situation when they weren't in their corner. I forgot, most people were born with favorable odds, so they wouldn't know what it's like to lose it all, then regain it.
