Aht Aht…God Doesn’t Care About Your Wardrobe

 When did God worry about who was the best dressed on Sunday Morning? Asking For Myself. Blacks will spend $200-$300 trying to look good on Sunday Morning. God doesn’t care about your suits and big church hats. You can come to church in 👖 & a 👕 and still have a heart for God. God is worried more about someone’s salvation instead of what they have on. Besides, mainstream church folks have turned church into a fashion show: Who can look the best on Sunday; fellas wearing their best suits, ladies coming correct with their hair done and dress on point with hats so big, they’re catching their blessing & everyone else’s.

I’m not saying come to church dressed any kind of way, but what about a rookie Christian? They might can’t afford a suit & tie or a nice church dress, so will they be turned away if they’re not suited & booted? It’s too much emphasis put on wardrobe for church on Sunday. God cares more about the person’s soul than what they’re wearing.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words

If you have to say who you are, chances are you're not. I let my actions speak for me because they tell a better story than my words ever could. Anyone can say they're real; everybody's real when they have eyes watching them. You're real when you're the same in public & private.

 

Today's Word: God Can Deliver Without Trauma

This the one. I'm trying to heal & mature quick, and part of that involves owning my poor decisions & consequences, which I'm doing well at, but I'm learning how to watch my back; meaning...I carefully consider all options before I make a decision. The older I get, the consequences of poor decisions become more severe.

 

The Cost Of Freedom

 The more I see, the more grateful I am that I'm NOT having children in this pathetic world. If unarmed black men aren't being shot down like dogs, it's some deranged fool who killed Asians in Atlanta and the surrounding area. How about the racist announcer who made N-word comments because a girls HS basketball team kneeled, then had the nerve to blame it on his diabetes? In light of these incidents, folks want to say "This is not who we are" Wrong. THIS is exactly who we are. As I said before, we're TOO FREE. Free to be stupid, hateful, etc.

Talking About Somebody

Since when did we have permission to speak on someone’s downfall? I’m asking for myself because everywhere I turn, it’s always something published about someone’s fall from grace. Granted, public figures are held to a higher standard, but they’re human like we are. Nobody can talk about anyone. We all are living off God’s grace & mercy. 

Today’s Message: Good Deeds=Love Or Ego?

 We can do all the good we want, but without love, we’re doing good just to feed our ego. No wonder many people want credit for the good they do, because they’re feeding their ego instead of doing good out of their heart.

Unpopularity of speaking the truth

Fighting for what is right will never be popular with some crowds, but that doesn’t mean you cower from the responsibility of stating the truth.
