COVID-19 couldn’t have come at a worse time because social distancing is hitting the elderly hard. Think about it, many family members don’t visit elderly relatives in nursing homes as often as they should, so the loneliness has increased.🤔— Florida Made (@RichardMIATL) March 30, 2020

Forced Caregiving: Filial Law
Florida, and other states don’t have this law on the books; thank goodness for that. The states that have this law would have to prove the aging parents’ adult children have the means to support their elderly parents.
Caregiving is a moral decision, it shouldn’t be mandated. If parents did right by their children, I feel the child should step up and help take care of their aging parent(s) within reason. If the parent(s) mistreated their child(ren), that adult child is under no obligation to care for their aging parent(s).

Coronavirus Drama: America Is In Time Out
I haven't spoken on the Coronavirus because I refuse to get caught up in the mass hysteria. The below statement sums up my thoughts on all this madness.

Tuesday Random Thoughts
Jesus, thank you for being my King, so I don’t have to bow to any other. Thank you for being my Priest, so I don’t need a human being to connect me to God. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your new temple, the church, your body. Amen.— Florida Made (@RichardMIATL) March 22, 2020

Returning To Him
God will use whatever means necessary to get our attention. God didn't cause this virus, but if this is what it takes for America to turn back to Him, so be it.

Once you know God's got it, don't try to pick it up again (talking to myself because sometimes I try to pick up situations I've given to God).

Coronavirus Frenzy
The bottom tweet sums up my feelings on this coronavirus madness. All over social media and the nation, there are reports of people stocking up because they don't know how long this will last. I understand preparing, but is it necessary for one person to by multiple bundles of toilet tissue? You're not the only one who needs the essentials, so leave some for others. It's no reason why one person should have a cart full of essentials acting like no one else needs the same products. I've always known that crisis times reveal how selfish people are, and this is no different. Then, you have churches canceling worship services, which is crazy to me because we've had crises every year and churches weren't shutting down then. It's ok to be cautious, but not ok to put your life on hold.

It's easy to pass judgment about impoverished folks when you've never struggled a day in your life. It's easy to say poor people are lazy when you've always had money to take care of yourself and loved ones. Dog Ownership=Good Times vs. Bad Times
As a dog owner, I co-sign this meme. I've had my dog for almost 2 years and it's been good for me. She provides loyalty, companionship, and encouragement. I can be feeling low, and she knows how to cheer me up. I've always liked dogs, but it's a special bond that comes with owning your own. She doesn't like to see me leave, but she knows I'll always return home. There were times where I wanted to go out and enjoy myself, but I think about how my dog hasn't seen me since morning, and I feel obligated to come home to her; that's love, to me. Unfortunately, all dogs have an expiration date and when my dog passes, she will be missed. It's crossed my mind to get another dog, and when I do, I'm adopting one from the shelter. The way rescue dogs look at their new owners is priceless. I want the experience of rescuing a dog from my local shelter. The memories I'm building with her now will get me through when she leaves this world. I feel for all dog owners who have lost their pets. For some people, their pet is the only friend they've ever known. Who will greet them when they come home? Who will comfort them when they're feeling low?
