This video footage sums up the black community in its entirety. Carlton is called a sell-out by the frat leader because in the frat leader's eyes, Carlton isn't "black enough". What is black enough? A black person who identifies with the struggle, grew up in the ghetto, loves his people and is passionate about black issues. I guess a black person isn't considered black if they grow up with two parents, make straight A's in school, talks proper and is groomed for success. What stood out to me is the following quote, "I'm running the same race and jumping the same hurdles, so why are you tripping me up?" Black people have it hard enough in this world, and the last thing we need is to be tripping each other up. To paraphrase what Uncle Phil (RIP James Avery) said: I'm not apologizing for working hard to provide a good life for my family. "When are we going to stop doing this to each other?" The rhetorical question Uncle Phil asked is one that has yet to be answered.

Giving Back
Here's an interesting twist on Giving Back from a FB friend.
Honestly, I understand where he's coming from. Blacks who made it out of the hood are under no obligation to give back, especially if their hood has given them nothing but grief.

Tallahassee Is A Mess
Tallahassee has been making the news for it's escalating crime. Some folks say Tallahassee crime is nothing compared to Miami & Jacksonville (which is true to an extent), others are shocked at the rising crime in Tallahassee comparable to its size. It's going to take EVERYONE to tackle this issue, but as with everywhere else, it starts at home by parents getting in their kids' business. If your kid looks like he's up to no good, find out what (s)he's into, who they're hanging with, etc. In the past, every summer the City Of Tallahassee would have a summer youth employment program for the youth to keep them off the streets. I did that every summer (plus had a reg. job) and I wasn't thinking about running the streets. Bring that back.

Morehouse 2019 Graduating Class Gets Student Loans Paid Off
Getting your loans wiped out is the best gift any graduate could receive.
Black billionaire Robert Smith made headlines for paying off the student loans of the Morehouse 2019 graduating class, and as usual, some people are in their feelings. First off, they had no idea he was paying off their loans and second, the critics are mad it wasn't them.— Florida Made (@RichardMIATL) May 21, 2019
As usual, some people had a problem with his gesture.😒 As the last sentence says, the critics are mad HE didn't pay off their loans.

What's On My Mind
I despise mothers who sit back and watch their child be sexually assaulted, raped and/or killed by their stepfather or boyfriend all because they want a man. I get stories on my timeline that have the same headline: “3-year old girl dies from being sexually assaulted and beaten. Mother charged with being a party to heinous abuse” A mother’s job is to protect her offspring by any means necessary, even at the expense of her own life. It seems like this madness happens more in the black community, but this garbage is no respecter of race. The reason why it seems as though it happens more in the black community is because it’s being exposed. Victims aren’t putting up with the silence anymore, social media has given them an outlet and for that I’m grateful. Monsters need to be exposed. Any mother who has failed to protect their child and subjected them to heinous sexual abuse because they wanted to keep a man is pathetic & deserves a permanent reminder of how they failed as a parent. There are some things that should be unforgivable in my book, and this is one of them.

Alabama Gov. Signs Strict Abortion Bill Into Law
I do think there should be exceptions, such as rape. To require a woman who's been raped to keep the child is disrespectful to her because she was violated, and two, the child came into the world under terrible circumstances. This bill got one thing right: Abortions will be performed when the mother's life is at risk. I am pro-life and believe that all life is sacred, but let's use common sense here: The only problem I have with abortion is too many women use it as an excuse to open their legs, then they get an abortion because they don't want the responsibility of taking care of a baby. Put the baby up for adoption, that's how I feel. There are couples who can't conceive children who would love to take in a baby and care for it like their own.

Life Support: Know When To Let Go
You're not doing them or yourself any favors by keeping them on life support for years because the longer they stay on life support, the worse they get because they're shriveling up more and more until they're so far gone, you have to let them go.— Florida Made (@RichardMIATL) May 15, 2019

Thought For Today: The Enemy Goes To Church
If women aren't in their feelings because they can't dress like thots without backlash, then there's all sorts of foolishness taking place in the church. Gossiping, jealousy, etc. No wonder the church is seen as a joke by many people because the church has become secular. Stuff that was taboo in church has now become acceptable, and I'm starting to see why people (believers included) want nothing to do with church.
The church is ran by Satan.— Florida Made (@RichardMIATL) May 12, 2019

Gov. DeSantis Signs School Gun Bill Into Law
This is why I feel the way I do; when you have to carry a gun to school just to do your job, it speaks volumes about how far society has sunk into the toilet. If demon children aren't bowing up to teachers, then kids and teachers have to worry about their school getting shot up. I thank God everyday I'm not bringing children into a sorry, pathetic world.

Other Men Checking For Your Wife
I don't know any man who would be cool with other men giving their lady attention. Superstar wife Ayesha Curry is in her feelings because other men don't find her attractive. Here's the video clip that started it all:
#AyeshaCurry says it bothers her that she gets no attention from other men even though she's a married woman. via: @RedTableTalk pic.twitter.com/oW3VpPbiJx— Chicelebrity.com (@ChicelebrityC) May 7, 2019
She's getting major backlash from social media for this comment, and rightfully so: She disrespected her husband by saying his loyalty to her isn't enough. I've always known some women weren't known for logic, but this clip here...just crazy.
I disagree with her. You’re beautiful be thankful that you have a good man! #AyeshaCurry #Ayesha pic.twitter.com/rHVJowpmu3— Daphne (@celebriD) May 8, 2019
So #AyeshaCurry wants men to cat call her so she can feel as though she “still has it” isn’t the wedding ring and 3 kids and him not known for cheating or affairs all the validation she needs 🤷🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️...— Dominique McCoy (@_JUSDOM) May 7, 2019
Am I the only one that finds a wife and mother of 3 saying "It bothers me that men don't try to holla at me" with her whole ass mother in law sitting next to her oddly troubling? Boo hoo men are respecting my marriage and not hitting on me. So sad😢😢. SMDH! pic.twitter.com/1AeY4vBGPk

Georgia City Councilman: Interracial Marriage Is Not How Christians Should Live | Michael Stone
Christians like him give Christianity a bad name. I hope he doesn’t think he’s going to make Heaven with his beliefs. People have the right to disagree with interracial dating, but I have a problem with clowns like him who twist Christianity & the Bible to justify their prejudice views. Nowhere in the Bible does it say Jesus was a racist & nowhere in the Bible is interracial marriage outlawed. In fact, Moses married a Cushite (Cush means black) woman and as soon as Miriam criticized Moses, God struck her with leprosy.
