What's On My Mind? In other cultures, it's not uncommon for children to live with their parents in order to build wealth, but it's frowned upon in American households. So much value is placed on independence and while I agree one should be self-sufficient, in this economy it's becoming more common for adult children to either move back with their parents to save money or inherit the parents' home after the parents die, therefore never having to leave home. It's no surprise why Asian, Latino/Hispanic & Cuban, Italian families are among the wealthiest in the world because they all pool their money together. It's usually black people shading other blacks who are financially stable enough to live independent, but would rather live with parents to help them out and save money for whatever reason. I said all that to say this: It's nobody's business why someone chooses to live at home with their parents, especially since you're not feeding or clothing them. Who are you that someone has to impress by having your own house, job, and car? SMH, cut the crap.

Random Thoughts On My Mind
I feel sorry for everyone waiting until Thanksgiving Day to start cooking. SMH, procrastination at it's finest.— Florida Made (@RichardMIATL) November 23, 2016

Keep Your Eyes Open
One minute you're good with someone, the next minute you're at war with them.
Never think you're too good to not be on the receiving end of someone's wrath. Anyone can get it.— Florida Made (@RichardMIATL) November 16, 2016

If I'm President
If I'm president, my first official act of business is mandating the death penalty for all child sex offenders.— Florida Made (@RichardMIATL) November 3, 2016
If I'm president, my next order of business is to put prayer back in schools. Any issue with that, tough nuggets.— Florida Made (@RichardMIATL) November 6, 2016

Where's Men's Accolades
Why do women get credit for progressing in life whereas men are expected to be stable? That doesn't make sense. I get it, some women have fought hard for their success and should be commended, but if you're healthy and have the right drive, you should be able to make moves for yourself. A man is expected to have a career & home by a certain age; no one gives him credit because that's what he's supposed to; A single mother raising children on her own gets her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees is given red-carpet treatment. There are other single moms doing the same, but they don't look for credit because they're doing what they do for a better life for their children. Their gift is their child(ren) excelling in life. My point is this: If men don't get props for bettering themselves, neither should women. The world will congratulate a woman's progress, but expect a man to be able to make moves for himself. See the irony?— Florida Made (@RichardMIATL) November 4, 2016
