I Quit

It's funny how couples want to bring up God when they're on the brink of divorce, because one person is tired of the mistreatment. How much is someone expected to tolerate from someone who claims to love and honor them? Seriously, I see why some people shy away from marriage because it seems like you have more headaches in marriage than being single. I've said it once, and I'll say it again: If it costs my happiness to keep a woman happy, I want no part of marriage. Forget about the man's wants & needs, it's all about the woman. Keep her satisfied, please her, do this, that & the third. A person can only take so much mistreatment from their spouse until they decide to leave. Once a person is done, they're done. No amount of prayer can change someone who has taken all they can from you, and you want to bring up God to manipulate them into staying so you can mistreat them again. That may work on some people, but that gets nowhere with me. It's nothing to cut someone off. If I'm good to a woman & did my best to please her, then it's her problem if what I do is not good enough. I listen to New Life podcasts that deal with marriage, and I swear some of those women are delusional. Some of their husbands go upside their heads, and they stay with the abusers. Let some of these women tell it: God wants me to stay with my husband even if he goes upside my head. Yeah...ok. If they like it, I love it. I'll opt for peace of mind.
