Fame & Fortune vs. Dignity

Everyone's looking for fame & fortune, but at what price? Depends on who you ask. Some people want fame & fortune without having to compromise their dignity, others will get rich & famous by any means necessary, even if they look crazy in the long run. Some people need to understand that all fame & fortune isn't good, especially if it comes at the expense of your dignity. It comes down to security; being content with your success that you don't envy others who are more successful than you. The problem I see what many people is they aren't content. Some people want to be the center of attention so bad they'll go to any lengths to get it. Those types are most dangerous because they oftentimes sacrifice their dignity for fame and fortune. If they're willing to sacrifice fame & fortune, there's no telling what they'll do. I always say I'm cut from a different cloth than most, because the way my values are set up, I'd rather sleep good knowing that I lived right, even if I never become rich & famous. Besides, I'm used to having much and I'm used to having little, so either way I'm straight. Look at these so-called reality shows: People showing their behinds like the mess isn't wrong; acting all kinds of crazy, and some folks enjoy it. The thing is, many reality show stars make $1,000,000+ per episode, and they get free trips to exotic places. What's the common denominator? Drama. Cut up on national TV & you're a star. I would rather keep my dignity with no fame & fortune, than get rich and famous and have to maintain a facade.
