Finding Your Own Way

Every man's journey is different. What's important for one man may not be important for another. Regardless, every man should be supported in their journey.

Ray Lewis: Your Comfort Zone Must Be Disturbed

"Before anything great is achieved, your comfort zone must be disturbed"-Ray Lewis. He was telling the truth because some of the most influential, successful people have stepped out of their comfort zone to do something great.

America Is Toast

With all the foolishness going on in this country, I'm grateful each day that I'm not raising children in today's climate because if THIS is the kind of country we're leaving for our children, God help us. Adults have failed the children of this nation if our children have THIS (referring to the hell this country is going through) to look forward to.

Growing In Christ

This goes against what most believers are taught about growing in their walk with God. As a believer grows in Christ & starts digging deeper, they discover that ultimately, each believer is responsible for their own walk with Christ.

Be Real

Don't be one way when everyone's watching, and another way when no eyes are on you. Folks who know you best will look at you like a clown.

Question Of The Day

I would delete sin. Once sin is deleted, all the accompanying issues will vanish.

Parenting

There's truth in this statement. Many parents want better for their child(ren), but sometimes reality dictates how parents raise their children. Look at today's climate of racial division and injustice. Most parents didn't have conversations with their child(ren) on how to conduct themselves with the police or racial injustice because racial division and injustice didn't exist to the degree it does now, but more minority parents are forced to have tough conversations about what's going on today. This is so the child(ren) will know what to do if they encounter racial injustice or the police. It's almost like parents are training their children for war because what kids have to deal with today is much different than what adults faced as children.

Sued For Doing Right

GA Governor Kemp is foul for this lawsuit. Keisha Bottoms is doing the right thing, and she's being attacked for it. Let me get this straight: Governor Kemp is suing Mayor Bottoms over a face mask order? Does anyone see how stupid this is? Georgia is one of the COVID-19 hotspots, and cases have been skyrocketing there. I'm sure most of those cases are from Atlanta, so it's common sense for Governor Kemp to have Mayor Bottoms' back with the face mask order. It's shameful you can be sued for doing right. It boils down to money because in the article, it says the lawsuit is on behalf of business owners and employees trying to survive in difficult times. I get that COVID-19 has crippled the economy, but the face mask order is to benefit the business owners and employees, plus the customers as the economy tries to reopen slowly. This lawsuit is ridiculous, and I pray it's thrown out because there's no merit.

Thursday Gospel: Reflection

Day 1: How Many Of Us Have Them?

Day 1 is someone who's been in our lives since the beginning, through the good & bad times. It usually refers to family, but can also mean childhood friends. As people get older, they usually change, and sometimes not for the better.

Faithful In Every Season

Depending on the level of one's faith, this can be easy or difficult for a lot of believers. I think as you mature in your faith, you realize that there's no guarantee of a pain-free life. I wish it was, but we live in a fallen world.

Monday Gospel: All Losses Aren't Losses

Many losses are blessings, but some of us don't see it that way at first. Think about it: When a cheating spouse leaves, most people see it as a gain because that person exited your life voluntarily. Some people see it as a loss at first because they feel they did something to warrant such abuse, so they do everything to keep the toxic person around. Once they're alone, they realize they're better off without toxic people. Toxic people are just that, TOXIC. I'm not afraid to lose people who weren't down for me anyway. Why? They're no benefit to me. Bye.

Today's Thought: Rash Decisions

I can't be the only smart one that thinks this is a bad idea. There's no approved vaccine to combat the COVID-19 virus, so tell me again how Trump can pressure state governments to reopen schools on 8/19? It would be safer to mandate digital learning for all students until the pandemic is over so no student is put at risk. Many parents are opting for digital learning so their child(ren) isn't at risk for the virus, which is smart. Do our leaders think before they make rash decisions? I think we know the answer to that question.

Today's Thought: No Tax Break, No Ministry

Eventually, churches may lose their tax break. If that happens, the motives of many pastors will be revealed. If some preachers stay in ministry, their hearts are in the right place because they have a heart for souls. If they leave, we know they were in ministry for fame & fortune, plus the tax benefits. Back in the day, most ministers held regular jobs in addition to pastoral ministry.

Rickey Smiley Goes In

Ricky Smiley goes in on the black community for self-destruction. His daughter was shot 3 times in Houston in an act of road rage, so I understand his anger. He was on point with everything he said.

Today's Thought: Your Team Is Not Solid

If some of Jesus' disciples betrayed him, what makes anyone think those closest to them won't? People are fickle. They're loyal when it benefits them. It's said that those closest to you are the first to betray you. Watch everyone in your life.

Surrendering Your Dog

People come up with excuses to surrender their dog to a shelter: Sickness, childbirth, moving, etc. I'm going to destroy each excuse, starting with moving. There's nothing wrong with moving, but you can't take your dog with you? Dogs are loyal to their owners, and it's not fair to leave them behind when their owners relocate for whatever reason. If you move, your dog should go with you. Childbirth: A couple decides to have a child, and they surrender their dog. They've had their dog for years and as soon as a child comes into the picture, they give up their dog. Studies have shown that dogs are great companions to children, so why give up a loyal dog for a child? That's stupid. Some people are too lazy to socialize their dog with their kids, so they take the easy way out and surrender their dog instead of letting their child bond with the dog. Sickness: I read a story where someone gave up their dog to help care for a sick relative. Hogwash. The dog was hurt. Where was the father's other relatives? I'm sure the relative has plenty people to help take care of him/her, so there was no excuse for this person to surrender their dog.

I don't care what happens, I'm not giving up my dog. Since I got my first dog, I made a promise to love her until the end of time, and I'm keeping that promise. I take care of my niece's dog like he's my own. I see why pet owners say that taking care of a pet is like caring for a child, because it is. Just like you spend time with your child, you're spending time with your pet. You're feeding, bathing, and nurturing your pet the same as your child. When parents take their kids for physicals and periodic check-ups, they're taking their pet to the vet for routine check-ups, shots, etc. I think about all the dogs in shelters; those dogs who were surrendered for whatever reason. Some shelter dogs have never known a forever home, so they spend their entire lives in the shelter. How many shelter dogs get adequate attention? Most shelter dogs get very little attention outside of having their food brought to them, and periodic walks. If someone isn't capable of caring for a pet for life, they shouldn't get one. It doesn't make sense to get a dog and surrender it when something comes up. The dog is at the shelter wondering what it did to end up there. I want to adopt a rescue dog one day so I can experience the joy that comes with giving a shelter dog a forever home.

THREE Prophetic WARNING DREAMS!!! "BRACE YOURSELVES" [Pastor Dana Covers...

This is powerful. From a spiritual standpoint, prophetic dreams serve as a reminder of what's to come. We're already seeing many of these revelations come to pass: Protests, violence, racial division, school closures, etc. This meltdown should serve as a wake-up call to Christians who are playing church, and those who haven't made a decision for Christ. What stood out to me is "No sign of President Trump/leadership". Could President Trump walk out in the midst of chaos? If he did, Mike Pence would assume the President role, but Trump would leave a bad taste in the mouths of his supporters because he bailed at a time when he's needed. Leadership shines in hard times because that's when people find out what a leader is made of. I feel he's accurate because if you're paying attention to current events, you can see the evidence. Whether people believe it or not, now is the time to prepare physically & spiritually. God always sends warning before destruction.

Wednesday Truth

Facts. I'm quick to leave anywhere I'm not valued. I think a lot of people wouldn't be so frustrated if they leave places where they're not valued.

Wednesday Measage: Be Careful How You Treat God’s People

We're living in times where reaping what you sow is coming faster than ever. You better be careful of how you treat God's people!!
