Anytime a believer puts God first, their mate will feel slighted. If that's the case, then (s)he isn't the one for you.

This is often the result of being unevenly yoked. The Bible warns about this. Divine order states: God, husband, wife, child(ren). But He's also provided principles for how a husband and wife should conduct him- or herself as Jehovah is the Creator of marriage and does not take marriage lightly.
