Joel Osteen: Fresh Start, The New You Begins Today

I'm getting back to reading this year, and Joel Osteen's book Fresh Start is a great way to do it. Joel provides valuable insight and encouragement to help believers stay connected to God so they can receive his best. I'm looking forward to this book. I'll review after I've finished reading.

2017: What Can I Look Forward To?

For 2017, my prayer is to continue growing as a man and believer, so if folks are expecting some New Year's Resolutions, forget it. I don't see why people make New Year's Resolutions knowing they're not going to follow through. Anyway, I'm looking to continue my progress from 2016: Growing In Christ, keep delivering these fire blogs, and look into other income streams. Also, get back into reading more. Unlike many people who post that New Year, New Me foolishness, I'm not getting into all that this year. For me, I shouldn't need a new year to make changes in my life. If I'm growing as a man all year long, then each new year is a chance for me to further my growth from last year. The only thing I can look forward to is being better in all areas of my life, and as long as I stay focused on God, I'll have favor the likes of which I've never seen.

What's On My Mind

It's funny how these gangsters/killers are so hardcore until they're sentenced to death or life with no parole, then they fall out in the courtroom.

The average highway has 3 lanes in each direction, some have 4 if you include major cities, so why can't some people seem to stay in theirs?

What do these couples have in common? NOTHING. A relationship cannot & will not last if you have two different people. Stop saying opposites attract because that's false.

What's On My Mind: Episode 1

What's On My Mind? In other cultures, it's not uncommon for children to live with their parents in order to build wealth, but it's frowned upon in American households. So much value is placed on independence and while I agree one should be self-sufficient, in this economy it's becoming more common for adult children to either move back with their parents to save money or inherit the parents' home after the parents die, therefore never having to leave home. It's no surprise why Asian, Latino/Hispanic & Cuban, Italian families are among the wealthiest in the world because they all pool their money together. It's usually black people shading other blacks who are financially stable enough to live independent, but would rather live with parents to help them out and save money for whatever reason. I said all that to say this: It's nobody's business why someone chooses to live at home with their parents, especially since you're not feeding or clothing them. Who are you that someone has to impress by having your own house, job, and car? SMH, cut the crap.
