Today’s Message

 I read a post asking if it's ok for men to cry, and as usual, it's women who see nothing wrong with a man crying. For me, if a man sheds tears because he's thankful for what God has done in his life, I can respect that. A man crying for any reason outside the loss of a loved one, I can't respect it. You have men crying over their woman cheating on them, and in my mind I'm😒because it's not that serious. She cheated, big deal. She showed you she wasn't about nothing, time to move on.

Stay Away

Stay away from people who do you wrong & blame you for them doing you wrong.

Real Talk Kim: Stop People Pleasing

I follow a minister who goes by the name Real Talk Kim, and she posted this:

Here's a reminder for all of the people pleasers out there: Jesus was literally perfect and people still hated him. Quit putting your worth in what others think about you instead of what God thinks about you.

My response: Preach, Teach & Proceed! I’m not trying to please anyone except Christ.🤷🏾‍♂️No matter how good I am, some people will never be pleased, so I’m done.

Throwback Confession

I’m pro-life, but I understand why some women choose to get an abortion. Like it or not, a woman shouldn’t be criticized for aborting her baby if the child was conceived through rape, or the child may be born disabled. Let’s keep it real: Raising special needs children is not easy. You have to be built Ford tough for that.

Let’s not talk about rape. Some folks have the nerve to say a woman should keep a child that was born through rape? Miss me with that. It’s usually Christians who like to say “God can take what’s meant for evil and use it for good” When Christians tell a woman “God can take what’s meant for evil and use it for good”, they’re discounting her feelings. They don’t care what she’s going through or how she’s feeling, which is a bad look on Christianity.😒

Nikki Brooks: I’m Tired Of This Church

 The lack of Emotional Intelligence that is consistently displayed - especially in the name of Christ - is just downright embarrassing.

The way we promote the absence of common sense and call it “the anointing” or “truth in love” is just downright ANNOYING.

Churchfolk have run an entire generation out the doors and have the nerve to blame it on them being rebellious.

The church’s collective REFUSAL to address culture issues and promote change is a wicked form of stubbornness.  And this flossing over feelings and promoting abuse and oppression with prayer is EPIDEMIC and shows up in every area from marriage to education to family matters to civil matters.

How do we Specialize in correcting others but allergic to feedback....How do we consistently point out eye specks while doing nothing about the 2*4’s in our heads.... Just POWERLESS.
